Michael Hadley brings extensive expertise to his role as a Senior Architect, specializing in architectural, electrical, mechanical, civil, and planning engineering. With over 15 years of professional practice across governmental, corporate, institutional, and high-technology sectors, Michael has established himself as a leading figure in his field. Serving as both lead project architect and CAD administrator, he has successfully overseen numerous multi-disciplinary projects of considerable scope.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in Illustration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2006. During his academic tenure, he supplemented his studies with practical experience, serving as an architectural intern at Millennium 3 Design Group and offering guidance to design students at former governor Harvey Gantt’s firm.

Commencing his professional journey at Michael Baker International in Alexandria, VA, Michael honed his skills in proposal development, conceptual design, and construction documentation. Throughout his career trajectory, he has cultivated a deep appreciation for the multifaceted nature of architecture, recognizing it as a conduit for a fundamental life lesson;

Mike has a passion for percussion instruments and is a talented bassist and drummer. He also enjoys mentoring youth in his local community and most of all, spending time with his family.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Atkins is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. As a senior architect ll, Michael was responsible for the Purple Line Transit Constructors project. His work involved dove tailing proposed design solutions for metro rail into existing contextual site information. He also coordinated elevator locations and design build contractor issues.

Michael Baker is an international Architectural Engineering firm. Michael Hadley gained extensive experience as an architectural professional throughout his 10 years at Baker. His organizational Management and Site Planning responsibilities included complex operations, million-dollar budgets, compliance with corporate rebranding, and multiple ADA compliance upgrade design projects.  He also regulated quality assurance, development management planning, basis of design reports, Risk assessment, internal audits and project performance reviews.

Michael’s Apprenticeship began at Millennium 3 Design Group.  Responsibilities included executing fee proposals, analysis reports, review of design concepts, drawings, and correspondence to design comments with sub-consultants. He also controlled the development of graphics, drawings, and presentation development for multiple planning project to assist cost estimators.

Accomplishments:

  • Assisted with managing and designing a private 250,000 residence,
  • Two 8.5M dollar Elementary schools
  • Two 4M dollar church designs for single-story and multi-story future additions.
  • Utilized software platforms: Autodesk AutoCAD R2002- R2015 Autodesk, AutoCAD MEP- R2014, Autodesk BIM Revit R2012- R2015.
